The project is located at the factory of Nongfu Spring (Wuyishan Fujian) Drinking Water Co., Ltd., Wuyishan City, Fujian Province, China. It has a total investment of 69.7 million USD and a construction period of 15 months. According to the company’s official website, the Wuyishan production base is one of Nongfu Spring’s twelve largest water sources, known for its high-quality natural environment and abundant water resources.
Based on the existing workshop, the expansion includes two 60,000 BPH aseptic beverage production lines with integrated bottle and cap production, bottle conveyor systems, case conveyor systems, pallet conveyor systems, and handle applicators.
To support production needs, the project will also build a 100 m² chemical warehouse, two 12t/h natural gas steam boilers, and a sewage treatment system with a capacity of 1,600 tons per day. The expansion mainly targets Oriental Leaf tea beverages, Tea π fruit tea, C100 juice, soda water, and vitamin water. Construction began on August 1, 2024, and completion is expected by October 31, 2025. Once in operation, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 397,700 tons of beverages.
The Nongfu Spring Huangshan production base has entered trial production of its second production line. The first line began operation in July 2024. To meet rising market demand and accelerate output, the Huangshan base plans to operate four water production lines and two beverage lines by the end of 2024. Once fully operational, the annual output value is expected to reach 280.4 million USD.
The Huangshan plant features an advanced high-speed filling system that can produce 90,000 bottles of natural water per hour—equivalent to 25 bottles per second—operating 24 hours a day. Excluding disinfection and maintenance time, daily production can reach approximately 2.07 million bottles.
Located in Huangshan District, Anhui Province, the project was signed with the local government in 2022. Combining the first and second phases, Nongfu Spring expanded the number of production lines from 3 to 6 and increased total investment from 17.5 million USD to 21.6 million USD.
In addition, Nongfu Spring plans to build a 3,000 m² tea processing and modernization R&D center in Huangshan to promote tea industry transformation and further expand its aseptic beverage line capacity. The project’s conveyor system layout integrates automated pallet conveyor systems to improve efficiency and sustainability.
